H1B Visa type for USA allows you to legally work and earn in the USA for the specified employer till the VISA/I-94 stamped date is valid.
Who all are considered as dependant if you have a valid H1 B visa?
Spouse and unmarried children. Parents are not considered as dependant.
Can my spouse work if I have a H1B stamped?
No, he/she cannot work in the USA as he/she would be having a H4 visa. Though you can file for H1 B visa for your spouse.
Can I work for an employer other than mentioned in my VISA?
No, but you can transfer your H1 B to the other employer and then can work for them.
Can I work for multiple employers?
Yes, if you have your H1 B with multiple employers else any earnings other than your employer is illegal.
Can a non-resident alien (with an H1B visa) open a business in the USA?
Can I earn over the Internet or by using any kind of Marketing/Advertisement program (eg. Google Adsense)?

Yes, you can play lottery and earn from it by winning.
How long is my H1B visa valid?
It is specified on your visa. Usually you get 3 years of work permit (H1 B) which can be extended further for 3 years.So overall you are eligible for 6 years if you are legally approved.
How many months before can I file my H1B extension?
You can file your extension 6 months prior to your initial expiration of H1B visa. Example: If your VISA is expiring on 1st OCT 2008, then you can file an extension after April 2008.
Can I buy a Property on H1B?
Yes you can buy a Property on H1B in the USA.
I came recently on H1B, when and how will my credit history develop?
Once you have you SSN, you can get a Secured Credit Card by depositing a certain amount with the bank.That amount is returned back usually after a year. Applying immediately for a Secured Credit Card will definitely help you for building your credit history.Usually your credit score will be generated after a Year. The credit score is usually in the range of somewhere between 350 to 850. The greater you have is considered to be good.You can also go for a car loan by adding a person whom you know and is in the USA for long period with good/excellent credit history. This will improve your score but be careful and pay before/on time as it may affect the other person if you default any payment.
I have my H1B valid and wish to visit my birth country for a period of 12 to 15 months. Is this valid?
Yes you can go to your country and come back any time within the expiration of your H1B visa. But while entering the USA, the immigration people may question you on your visit. So be prepared with true and valid answers. Consult legally on this.
